As a high school student in this day and age, a smartphone
is necessary. It is now a common thing to have student group chats,
internet-based homeworks and quizzes. So, we must have the proper devices to
fulfill these, so I have three budget smartphones which I think will do the
job.
The Bare Necessity: Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016)

This is just a simple, basic and cheap Android smartphone.
It won’t be the best multitasker, camera or anything like that. However, it
won’t break the bank that much (comparatively) and it's also a "television" since you can watch TV without WiFi.
Last Year’s “Flagship”: LG Nexus 5X

Well, there are many good things about this smartphone, good
camera, good build (for the price), good performance (2015’s 3rd best processor) and a really great price.
This is perhaps the best bang-for-the-buck device anywhere.
iOS: iPhone SE
apple.com
This is the most expensive device on this list at nearly PHP20K.
But what can we expect, given its manufacturer? However, this device has nearly
all the features of a smartphone that costs PHP8K more. So if you love iOS, and
Apple for that matter, this is my recommendation.
