Well doesn't this just put the icing on the cake? This is simple enough. So, let's start with his origin story.
Origins
As a young regular boy, Jack Morrison lived and helped in his family farm. But at 18, he joined the military to help settle the Omnic Crisis. After that he would go back to the family farm and settle down there. But with his extraordinary battle skills, the military brass and government had their attention on him. Soon, he joined what was known as the "Soldier Enhancement Program." After the program, Morrison and his fully augmented soldiers were ready to use their new form to help neutralize the omnics, while the United States was fending off a devastating attack.
As this happened, the United Nations was forming an international task force called, Overwatch. Bringing in the smartest and most elite people around the globe. With Morrison on the team, plus another soldier from the enhancement program, Gabriel Reyes. The 2 were fast friends. With Reyes as Senior Officer, Morrison became the team's moral compass, bringing out the best in people. Soon, they were able to end, the Omnic Crisis.
After, Morrison was promoted to the first commander of Overwatch, which left Reyes below him, and the line that used to connect the 2, was cut. Morrison became the face of Overwatch. But not for long. There was a small uprising in London, which left Morrison unknown at what his next move was. But special agent Lena Oxton callsign, Tracer, had given him such a speech, that he decided to send down her, and 3 other agents to stop the uprising.
Unfortunately, Reyes, still salty after Morrison's promotion, had been leading an internal rebellion in Overwatch itself. This resulted in a 1-on-1 fight between Morrison and Reyes, which triggered an explosion. This destroyed Overwatch's Swiss HQ, and supposedly, killed the 2.
But it wasn't over for him yet. A few attacks were launched on many different places, including old Overwatch facilities. Morrison stole different types of Overwatch tech, and now goes under the callsign, Soldier 76. No one was killed, but some guards sustained heavy injuries. He had a clear mission, to find out the people who broke Overwatch, and bring them to justice.
Well this took a ling time, but I think this can do. Now, how about his abilities?
Abilities
His primary attack is a Heavy Pulse Rifle that does about 19 damage each shot. It is recommended to always keep it loaded.
His other attack, Helix Rockets, launches 3 rockets that deals 40 damage on a direct hit, and 80 for splash, which should do a total of 120 damage. If you used to play Team fortress 2, then you can use these to do a rocket jump.
His passive ability Sprint, does what the name states. He sprints. A downside is that he can't shoot his gun or rockets while doing this.
He can also put down a Biotic Field that heals him, and other teammates in the area-of-effect for about 40 health per second. But a Reinhardt can use his shield to block the Biotic Field, which will stop healing anyone near it.
Finally, he has his ultimate, Tactical Visor. Pretty simple concept. He locks on to the nearest target, and uses aimbot. The reload speed is faster, and if someone escapes his line of sight, then he can lock on to someone else automatically.
Am I missing something? Oh right! This.

Now that we got that covered, I think I should move on to the final chapter. Life in the fandom.
Life in the Fandom
For Soldier, his gray hair, voice, and attitude has made the Overwatch fandom give him the title of, "Dad." This may sound strange, but let me explain. The fans, like to think of Soldier as the father of the Overwatch heroes, but they make them cute and small kids. Except for Mercy, Reinhardt, and Ana. Mainly because Mercy would be their "Mother." Reinhardt would be their "Grandpa." While Ana would assume the role of "Grandma." Isn't this a happy family? Moving on, it's not always like that. Sometimes, people like to think of him fathering plain D.va. I like it.
And so with that, we end the hero spotlight of Soldier: 76. A brave soul, out in the world to find out who broke Overwatch. What is he exactly? A soldier? A fighter? Or a hero? Or maybe it's all of them.
