A Man Worth Idolizing

About a week ago, we were tasked to blog about any person 25 and under that we admire or other people admire that has done some good to this world. So basically a member of the Illuminati? I dunno.
Since I was pretty desperate I picked St. Pedro Calungsod because he died young (age 17). And he's a saint / martyr.

After some not so extensive research on priest stuff I found this:
Life of Saint Pedro Explained by Bullet Points
-Born in Visayas (somewhere unspecified)
-Not much is known about his life...
-He had some "training" which consisted of Catechism, LATIN and Spanish
-He went to Ladrones  on a mission and there his life was hard because of
*Late provisions
*Cliffs
*TYPHOONS
-Despite this his team:
*baptized over 13,000 natives
*built chapels (a school and church was even dedicated to St. Ignatius!)
-This impacted the Chamorros.
St. Pedro's Unfortunate Death
-Some jealous Chinese dude named Choco said that the Baptismal Water was POISON!!!
-This actually worked because coincidentally some sickly Chamorro babies died.
-Because the missionaries baptized Matapang's daughter (some newborn from Guam)
they hurled spears at St. Pedro Calungsod on April 2, 1672.
-He had the chance to escape but, wanting to save one of the missionaries, he got hit by a spear in the chest and died.

So that was the heroic life of Pedro. He has done some good in this world, he was a good idol. Rest in Peace Pedro.
